Sales & Order Management
We have developed numerous sales and order management systems. These systems are designed to handle functions such as tracking customer activity, generating quotes and invoices, tracking purchases and inventory, and managing mailing lists. The systems typically provide management reports on outstanding orders, purchase order based payables, expenditure/order histories for various vendors, manufacturers, and products over user selected time frames.

Trade Association Management
B&A has developed large systems for several trade associations. These systems allow for the full management of day-to-day operations such as Membership renewals and communications, administration of health and workers compensation insurance programs, and management of escrow funds.

The benefits from these systems in terms of increased efficiency and improved service have been outstanding.

Database Publishing
A number of our systems have included database publishing related elements which allow for efficient movement of data in a form directly usable by a variety of database publishing systems for web site display, book publishing, and for one client, preparation of ballots for local, state, and national elections.

Events Planning and Management
B&A has developed several systems for the planning and management of large events such as fund raising dinners, trade shows, and exhibits. Functions include marketing communications, ticket sales, payment tracking, table and booth assignments, labels and place cards, and more.

Community Center Management
B&A staff have developed a comprehensive database system for day-to-day management of Community Center type organizations. Features include detailed tracking of families and their individual members, committee memberships, interest areas, mailing lists, membership renewals, registrations for classes and activities, invoicing, payments, and more.

Fund Raising Campaign Management
B&A has developed a powerful system for the complete management of community-based fund raising campaigns. This system tracks information such as prior pledges, solicitors, and payment history across multiple campaigns. It allows for analysis of giving histories, special interest targeting, and printing of pledge cards, solicitor assignments, and management reports.

Time and Billing Chargeback Systems
We have developed several systems for tracking labor and billing related information to be used in billing for professional services and project expenses. A major Michigan utility, a major Michigan furniture manufacturer, and Michigan's largest health insurer have all used Berg & Associates, Inc. developed systems for the internal chargeback of in-house services such as media services and R&D activities. Other systems have been used for client billing of professional services.

Printing Job Management and Chargeback
A system developed for a major utility manages the process of specifying, bidding out, awarding, and tracking printing jobs. The system will create Request-for-Bid letters as well as bid acceptance and rejection letters which can be directly faxed to selected vendors. It provides both day-to-day management reports and overview reports reviewing vendor performance. Older jobs can be retrieved by name, client and a range of custom indexed categories. Scanned images of the final printed product can be stored and displayed along with the print job record.

A related system handles estimating, job cost tracking and billing for all copying services within a large utility company. Job costs can be built up based on a wide range of job components such as number of copies, paper type, binding type, special operator services, and more.

Clothing Sales and Production
An integrated operations system is being used by one of the regions largest sports clothing manufacturers. The system includes order intake and tracking, automatic creation of paperwork for manufacturing control including job tickets, cutting reports, material/labor/burden reports, and shippers.

Magazine Advertising and Subscription Management
Two B&A developed database systems managed all subscriber and advertiser related operations for a nationally distributed magazine based in Michigan. The systems included features such as order and renewal processing, pricing, receipt and deposit of payments, problem follow-up tracking, and numerous mailing options.

Professional Referral Systems
One of Michigan's most successful outstate regional hospitals has used a B&A developed system as the core of its Physician Referral service. The system provides callers with a tailored list of Physicians meeting criteria such as specialty, gender, and acceptance of particular insurance programs. Management and physician feedback information is provided such as referrals by zip code, physician, and specialty.

Contact Management
This simple contact management program allows metals commodity brokers to identify customers as suppliers and/or consumers of a wide variety of scrap metals used in industrial processing. All sales and purchases are be tracked providing up to date information on accounts payable and receivable.

Child Adoption Process Management
This system allows for the detailed tracking of children in custodial care by the state of Michigan. A monthly book promoting adoption of the available children is published from the database using automated linkages to a document created in QuarkXPress. An Internet Web Site based on the database is currently under development.

Help Desk Software
B&A has developed software for managing a computer assistance help desk. Features include call and equipment logging, problem tracking, and time and charges tracking. Management reports are available by staff, equipment, problem type and more.
